How To Measure

MEASURING FOR BAY VALANCES

Made to Measure Valances: Will suit either bay or straight windows

These are fitted either onto a board with velcro or onto a duo rail with hooks, above the curtains.
The board would need to be at least 6" deep to allow clearance for the curtains, and can either be top fixed to the ceiling or face fixed into the wall. The board is covered in either matching fabric to the curtains or Lining. The rail consists of a standard track for the curtains to hang from then another track that extends out with returns at each end to hold the valance.

  • Install the board or duo rail first.
  • Use a steel tape measure (if it is not steel it may stretch and give in accurate measurements).

Board & Track:

  • Measure board or valance track from A-B, B-C, and C-D for width of pelmet & valance.
  • The drop of a valance is usually a sixth of the curtain drop.

Other styles of valance tracks are also available.
