A bigger, wilder day deeper into the Chiltern Hills.
Meet at 10:00am at The Crown in Radnage for our most ambitious scheduled day out. We cover the heart of the Chiltern Hills, linking the best singletrack, byways and ridge climbs the AONB has to offer — far more remote, varied and rewarding than the introduction day.
Expect hillier routes, more committing terrain — chalk, roots, beech leaf-litter, many mad descents — and a real sense of having earned your lunch. We stop for a pub lunch (included) before tackling the smaller afternoon loop, returning to Radnage in the late afternoon with stories to tell.
Previous off-road cycling experience is essential — you'll need to be confident handling a bike on trails and uneven ground, with a reasonable level of fitness. The electric assist takes the edge off the climbs but doesn't ride the bike for you. A brilliant day for confident riders craving a proper adventure close to London.
- 09:30Arrive, bike setup and route brief, refreshments/bathroom stop
- 10:00Roll out — morning loop into the hills
- 13:00Pub lunch stop (included)
- 14:15Afternoon loop — We'll see how you're feeling at this point and decide on the exact route home
- 17:00Back at The Crown for a well-earned pint or other refreshment
